Terms of Service

Welcome to Instant File Co. We build digital tools — Notion templates and digital systems — for freelancers, small store owners, photographers, and operators who'd rather run their work than watch a 47-minute video about running their work. By visiting this site or purchasing a product, you agree to these terms. Please read them.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing instantfileco.com or purchasing any product from us, you agree to these Terms of Service, our Refund Policy, our Privacy Policy, and our Delivery Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or purchase our products.

2. The License You Receive When You Buy

Every Instant File Co product is a digital download (Notion templates, planners, spreadsheets, and related files). When you purchase a product, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, lifetime license for personal and business use, subject to these terms.

Your license allows you to:

- Use the product for your own personal or business needs, forever
- Customize, modify, restructure, or rebrand the product within your own Notion workspace
- Receive all future updates to that product for free, for as long as we maintain it

Your license does NOT allow you to:

- Resell, redistribute, share, sublicense, or give away the original or modified product
- Share your duplicate link or downloaded files with anyone else
- Include the product in a paid bundle, course, or other commercial offering without written permission from Instant File Co
- Use the product to compete directly with Instant File Co (for example, by stripping it down and reselling it as your own template)

3. Ownership and Intellectual Property

The structure, design, layout, copy, screenshots, brand elements, and underlying systems thinking inside every Instant File Co product remain the intellectual property of Instant File Co. Your customizations of a template inside your own Notion workspace are yours. The template itself is licensed to you, not sold to you in the sense of transferring ownership.

You may not copy, reproduce, scrape, reverse-engineer, or create derivative commercial works from any Instant File Co product, website content, or marketing materials.

4. Updates and Changes

We may update product files, the website, or these terms at any time. Major product updates are sent to existing buyers by email. When terms or policies change, the updated version is posted on this site with a "last updated" date. Continued use of the site or products after updates means you accept the changes.

5. User Conduct

You agree to use the site and our products legally and responsibly. You will not:

- Use any product to violate applicable laws or infringe third-party rights
- Attempt to access systems, accounts, or data you're not authorized to access
- Hack, scrape, reverse-engineer, or compromise this website or its infrastructure
- Resell, redistribute, or share licensed products outside the terms above

6. Refunds

See the full Refund Policy. Short version: 30 days, real reasons (duplicate charges, wrong file, tech errors on our end, accidental purchases before download), real human reply within one business day.

7. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Every Instant File Co product is provided "as is." We build the systems we use in our own brands and validate them before launch, but we make no guarantee that any product will produce specific business results for your situation. How you apply a template to your work — and the outcomes that follow — is your responsibility.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Instant File Co will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages arising out of or related to your use of this site or any product. Our total liability for any claim related to a product is capped at the amount you paid for that product.

8. Account and Communication

When you purchase, we collect the email address you provide at checkout to deliver your product, send order confirmations, and notify you of future product updates. See the Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of our products will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, and you consent to that jurisdiction.

10. Severability

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.

11. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with the Refund Policy, Privacy Policy, Delivery Policy, and Legal Notice, make up the full agreement between you and Instant File Co regarding the site and the products.
